Man Like Machine are douchebags who think it's cool to drink onstage at all-ages venues and bully around other bands, don't listen to them. The Friendship Lounge however, are a great band.

Couple of my favorite Philly/Philly suburb bands:

North Farewell: www.myspace.com/northfarewell (http://www.myspace.com/northfarewell)
Nobody Yet: www.myspace.com/nobodyyet (http://www.myspace.com/nobodyyet)

Yeah, actually just happened last week at an all ages venue in Levittown. They were drinking onstage and played way longer than they were supposed to, and when a member from another band asked them if they could wrap it up they responded by mocking his band, calling them f*ggots, using an insane amount of profanity, and saying they would never play in Levittown again.

Such a shame, cause they (MLM) have some pretty unique music too.

I've listened to The Friendship Lounge's EP more times than I can count haha. And yea, Nobody Yet definetly work their asses off, such cool guys too, my band has a couple shows coming up with them and I'm pumped for it.

I seriously think Philly deserves to be the next Chicago or Long Island. So much good music here.

Haha definetly dude. My band is still in the beginning stages too, the recordings we have up right now are pretty bad home recordings. Whats your band called?

were called south of liberty. were seeking out a second guitarist and a replacement for our bassist we just had to let go of. we've got a bunch of songs, just no real means to record them but our drummer is getting a macbook for christmas haha so were hoping to demo out some garageband tracks and hopefully as a member or two. for now, our drummer is swinging bass duity ( for the sake of writting / recording ) and our guitarist is laying down both lead & rythm tracks so a live show is sort of out of the question at the moment but were always looking for cool new dudes to meet and play with.

i checked out your myspace. shit looks legit, man. sweet lay out. the tunes sounded cool too. i definitly hear sort of a jack's mannequin type influence ? i don't know, maybe that's just me.

Sounds good dude, good luck with that. It's cool that you have members that can swap instruments and are multi-talented like that. Garageband demos usually turn out pretty decent actually, alot better than just doing crap Audacity recordings like my band did. lol

And yea that layout is all our singer, he's a graphic designer. Jack's Mannequin is definetly one of our biggest influences, that's cool that you noticed that haha

Yo guys,

I dont mean to whore myself at all because i already started a thread in the self promotion section buttttt...I saw this thread and I do not know how I could not comment.

We literally moved from Lansdale (really cool scene/town) to center city Philadelphia. Members of this band were in Nexus, The Arrangement and The Premier if any of those bands mean anything to you guys. We are a little bit different then those bands. But we have been fortunate enough to play with bands like The Plain White Tees, Person L, The Wonder Years and Carbon Leaf.

We are playing more and more in the city and around the area, so I dont know maybe you will check us out and add us to your list.

Hope to see you guys at some shows.

Happy Holidays take care
