cosmetology?

I'm currently going to a community college and I hate it. I feel as if I'm going nowhere. Is anyone currently taking cosmetology classes or thinking about it? That's what I've always wanted to do and I'm thinking about transferring after this year is over.

See if the local cosmetology schools/programs have any introductory programs. That's what I did. From what I saw, it's a lot of time and hard work, but it's fun and worth it if it's what you really love to do.

If I didn't love my major so much I would have gone into cosmetology. I was seriously thinking about it at one point but I will warn you, it is 10x as much as community college.

Go to real school, it will benefit you much more in the long run, plus do you really want to be doing makeup/hair/nails when your 34?

Some people do. If you do what you do well, and know how to market that, it's a lucrative job. Plus, there's more to cosmetology than makeup, hair, and nails. Cosmetology school also encompasses any spa-related work, or esthetician training.

Also, how is it not real school?
