Ok, I'm sure that Arcade Fire didn't blast Aeroplane the whole time they were recording Neon Bible, but they've stated in several interviews that Neutral Milk Hotel is one of the primary reasons they signed on to Merge. To say NMH didn't influence them wouldn't be true. At the same time, NHM isn't Arcade Fire's only influence, so of course they'd still exist and make music.

I voted for In The Aeroplane Over the Sea but I second that quote. Granted all three albums are simply incredible, but Funeral is just epic.

I know I'm going out on a limb here but if you didn't know "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" was definitely going to win, then you never been on this site. Now I'm not saying everyone is jumping on board of the NMH bandwagon because I am sure people have liked it for a good while now but it sure seemed like they became a lot of people's favorite band on this site after Jesse Lacey and John Nolan started covering them. Again don't get me wrong I think it's great people here enjoy the album because it's an amazing one but let's face facts this poll was over before it even started.
