ummm hes writing normally, they just reversed the image of the whole thing so you get that effect.

you can tell because hes right handed (he plays right handed guitar anywyas) and on the video hes writing with his left hand. and on the video, hes also wearing his watch on the right hand which most people dont do

i really love this song. and this album. but the video. like most bright eyes videos they just dont do much for me. its better than their last video. i think i feel asleep i found it so boring.

I thought the video was awesome. I didn't think it was like the "lover I don't have to love" video at all. The only similarity between the two is that they both have words on the screen. I wasn't very impressed with the "lover..." video. Straight karaoke style, kinda lame.

wow youre right...that was bugging the hell out of me the whole time. I thought it was filmed in front of a mirror or something, and then they just edited out the background. good call...great video though!

yo...it dont matter man. the video is beautiful. the way conor oberst approaches music videos is fascinating. he really finds beauty in such original ways, kinda like in his lyrics too. what a fucking artist. he's almost as good as ashlee simpson.
