Showdown: US Vs. UK

Ok folks, I was thinking about this in the car today and had a really hard time coming to a clear answer:

Which country or countries do you think has produced the best music? For the US, there's Elvis, The Ramones, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, and Aerosmith, but then for the UK, there's U2, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. Any opinions?

It's disingenuous to say that we'd not have the music we have if it wasn't for them, as we started the music. Also, name all the bands you like, they'll never beat the likes of Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, or Coltrane.

USA, I have to hold strong and support my nation. I still love the UK, I have nothing against them.

U2 are from the Republic of Ireland. This is not in the UK. Northern Ireland is.

based on the bands u listed.. I would go with the UK.. minus the U2

Why is it odd to you?

This is a tough one, and you could debate it forever. If you had asked me a few months ago, i would have voted equal, but just lately I am really appreciating british music and everything that goes with it. So right now, I vote UK.
