Yesterday's Rising (http://www.yesterdaysrising.com)'s new album Lightworker is 3 or 4 steps in front of what I expected the band to come up with - and I had high expectations. Keep your eyes on this band as they get ready to release this album - it's going to surprise some people.

i'm hoping for the latter this week.. who knows when finch might come out..

the promo song/video for this cd is amazing. much better than their old stuff. jason's comment on this cd makes me want to hear it even more! :love:

VERY EXCITED for this new record, the ep was great and i recently heard a few new songs when i saw them live last month....they are easily one of the top 10 live bands i have ever seen. this band will explode very soon.

You guys are kidding me right? Please expect the worse from finchs new cd, that way you are not as dissapointed (side note: I love What it is to Burn tons). Also, i dont see what is so amazing about Yesterdays Risings ep, good yes, but nothing to amazing. But i must declare that after Jason's words, i will be looking at it more closely.

Anything really grab you Jason ? I know the track 5 is a completed and improved version of the song on the warped dvd. Track 9 maybe ?

Finch's new cd is crap... heh...

But obviously, anyone that says such things get's mod-bombed by the guy with hacked scene points... Too late for me though, so I'll just keep to saying what comes to mind.

I liked Finch's EP and first CD... their new one is garbage.

Wasn't a big fan of the first Yesterday's Rising, but I'll keep an eye out for the new stuff.

I hope your're not talking about the Glasshouse bootleg. That was some of the most awful music I have ever heard. Finchs EP was decent, Lp was very good, meanwhile this new cd...ugh.

FinchBulldog2, don't sing the praises of a cd you haven't heard. I personally was let down by the new Finch cd as I think everyone will be after waiting so long for it. I'm not saying it's a bad cd, just disappointing. It's something that reeally needs to grow on you. I think it has too many filler tracks for my taste. I'm really stoked to hear the new YR cd though.

thats whats stupid about so many people on this site. i see it all the time. when it comes down to it, some records just are an average/sub-par/generic album, and people shit their pants all over it, and i dont understand.

that is the most ignorant thing i've ever heard. sure finch have some good songs, but they have NEVER been unique. especially not now. i've heard two songs so far. they should be on incubus' "make yourself." it's really a joke. what it is to burn (the album) was pretty good. then they came out with that movie soundtrack song which was finger 11 + glassjaw, undeniably. if the singer was better looking, they would be alllll over the place. i guess it's a good thing he's not, because the last thing the world needs is another generic rock band.

p.s. my favorite part of yesterdays rising is the double bass. it's sick. i hope they make it nuttier on their new stuff.

i'm not afraid to like rock....as long as it is GOOD rock, the stuff i've heard from Finch's new album, is not good rock.

Heres the truth. Finch's old stuff was WAY better than Say Hello To Sunshine. From the title alone you can tell that this album isn't going to be all that great.

I have both of these albums as well, and both of them caught me way off guard. The new yesterdays rising is fucking incredible. The songs on lightworker have a lot more breathing room than the previous EP's and makes the album an easy listen all the way through. The piano track at the end of the album is the one that blew me away.

The new Finch is great as well, doesn't really fit into the same category as the new YR. Its quite a depature from their last LP and I'm sure it will piss a lot of old fans off.

I'm beginning to realize that myself. No wonder why Finch Bulldog has high scene points.

Edit: Also shows that people with tons of scene points care way too much b/c they take the time to figure how to hack them and do so. Same with people who hack other people's scene points, by doing so they're making a fool of themselves announcing to everyone that they have no life.
