Firstly, I recommend going to see Suicide File with Bane if you can make it to the shows coming up. It was an absolutely ridiculous show, with an unbelievable amount of energy and chaos running through the crowd. Although Weerd Science was easily the biggest buzz kill I've ever seen in a show, and The Palladium was horrible, this was still amazing.
Venetian Snares (http://www.planet-mu.com/artist21.html) - Rossz Csillag Allat Született is a great album. It's an interesting combo, but think some classical elements meets Aphex Twin. It works, trust me.
13 & God (http://www.alientransistor.de/alien-artists/alien-artists-13&God.html) - I finally got around to listening to their self-titled, and it's quite impressive: something soft and beautiful.
Discordance Axis (http://www.studio-grey.com/da/) - Forget all those sissy grind bands and ridiculous outgrowths into moronic third generation death metal, DA single-handedly justifed the genre. While I still have to review Our Last Day (which I do not recommend for people who are not already fans), if you don't own The Inalienable Dreamless (which was later remixed in its entirety by Merzbow, and yes that remix is awesome) and Jouhou buy them now, period.
Konono N°1 (http://www.crammed.be/konono/) - Congotronics ... Come on, look at the title, do you need any more? Okay, if you haven't heard of them you might not like them...but if you like Animal Collective give it a shot.
Professor Longhair (http://www.island.net/~blues/fess.html) - My dad gave me an album by them to listen to, and I usually trust his taste in jazz/blues stuff, and this turned out to be quite good. Give it a listen.
System of a Down - Although my girlfriend yelled at me when I mentioned I'd recommend this, I admit I find the new record decent. And for the record, her opinion may be more valid: "Seriously no, that's just mean, some of those kids actually take your recs seriously....there's no need to put them through that. SOAD=bad." It's catchy and amusing to say the least; the record, that is.
