The Huguenots - Discography
Record Label: Hydra Head Records
Release Date: November 13, 2007

Who?

"Who are The Huguenots?" "The who-whos?"

Well, finally this age old question can be answered! The Huguenots are a hardcore band from the mid-nineties that had little or no fame whatsoever, but featured breakthrough artists such as Kurt Ballou (Converge), Aaron Stuart (Piebald), and Dan Colby (The Explosions). This combination of musical styling generated one truly cool unknown band. Luckily for all us punk/hardcore junkies, Hydra Head Records have tracked down all recordings the band made in their career and packed them into one disk dubbed Discography. While the title isn't very catchy, the music certainly is.

How is it?

For old timers like me, the mid-90's doesn't seem like a long time ago. But, in reality, I was a kid then, and so were all the members of The Huguenots. Hearing their influences grow and connect to their current works is quite an interesting feature of Discography. Converge, Piebald, and The Explosions were all still young and incredibly different bands. Nevertheless, these dudes were able to helm all their influences (especially Ballou's) into a solid band that couldn't stand the mark of time. However, left is a treasure chest of history for fans of all three bands to admire and learn from.
