View Full Version : Favorite "Folie A Deux" track
I know everyone on here is honorable- no one would ever download a leak. But hypothetically speaking, if you were to hypothetically hear this cd by chance, what would your favorite track (hypothetically) be?

Tiffany is stuck in my head so I went with it. I like the whole disk though.

Water Buffaloes. The intro sounds amazing, and gets even better when you really turn up the volume.

Coffee's For Closers
For the record, I chose "The (Shipped) Gold Standard", but I might have to change my opinion after a few more listens. Tiffany, w.a.m.s., and 20 dollar have grown a lot on me.

(Coffee's For Closers) with Water Buffaloes... coming very closely.
after a few listens i'm digging what a catch donnie because it stands out. but i'm sure after a while i'll start to notice the catchier pop songs.

Headfirst Slide into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet is my fave.

I would've thought CFC would be better represented. I chose Shipped Gold Standard. Overall, solid album, very few misses (w.a.m.s.)

Tiffany Blews is my favorite right now. Can't get it out of my head, no matter how hard I try. I figured C4C and shipped gold would be above all the others on this site, though, everyone seems to love them.

I was torn between a couple but I chose Coffee's For Closers too. Great track. Other ones I wanted to choose would be:
Water Buffaloes, The (Shipped) Gold Standard, Tiffany Blews, Headfirst Slide, and What A Catch. The rest I love, but couldn't honestly choose as favorites.

This is an extremely hard decision. I've listened to the album multiple times through, and I think that (CFC) is #1 for me. Followed by Tiffany Blews and She's My Winona.

for sure on that. and patrick's voice absolutely sores on that song, the chorus is catchy, and i enjoy the lyrics of this song quite a bit too.
'Headfirst Slide'.
Just because it's been 3 days since I wasn't thinking 'I will never end up like him, behind my back I already am''.
Everyday when I'm busy with my exam, I'm thinking those lyrics. Its really annoying actually, because I can't concentrate.
As a song, 'The (Shipped) Gold Standard' is my favorite. It's just so good.
W.a.m.s.'s intro is really cool too.
I can name (though I'd have to check the titles first) at least 3 more songs that deserve to be mentioned, FAD is an awesome album.

I think its still Headfirst.
Out of the other songs though it would have to be 27, which is what I voted for.
I'm not in love with CFC like everyone else seems to be though. Maybe it needs to grow on me.
After many more listens, I'd have to say I like 20 Dollar best, with w.a.m.s. coming in second. I don't see why everyone hates it- the chorus is so catchy, and the stuttering is pretty cool.

they always have killer first tracks to open up their albums..and water buffalos just happens to be one of the only songs i enjoy on the album
its hard to pick a favorite with some many horrible songs.

This album is nigh perfect. I couldn't pick a song I DIDN'T like. But at the moment, Disloyal Order is my favorite. I love that song. The bridge/breakdown is phenomenal.

coffee's for closers is my favorite, although disloyal order of water buffalos is a great opener.
decent album overall, bout the same opinion i had of "infinity on high"...doesn't sound like the FOB I fell in love with and bears very little resemblence stylistically to their first 2 albums, but Patrick's vocals are incredble and they've really grown as musicians and offer up a pretty diverse array of sounds now. crazy how much they've changed. a bit overproduced and the dancier/funkier numbers I don't care for, but the more rockin ones are great and "what a catch" is a very strong ballad. solid effort but FUCT will probably forever be my favorite FOB album.

I went with 20 Dollar Nosebleed, but all of them are amazing. Others I liked would be West Coast Smoker, Coffees For Closers, What A Catch, and Disloyal Order Of Water Buffaloes.

What A Catch, Donnie.
I don't know if I'm reading too much into the ending or if it's blatantly obvious to everyone, but I find the progression of songs and singers super powerful
Gabe: Where Is Your Boy- FOB toured with Midtown during the TTTYG era.
Travis: Sugar, We're Goin Down- While FOB was recording FUTCT, GCH became the first band signed to DD.
Brendon: Dance, Dance- Panic was the second DD band, and Brendon was a guest vocalist on FUTCT.
Dug: This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race- Dug opened a few shows for FOB on a tour supporting IOH
Alex: Thnks Fr Th Mmrs- Came out around the same time the Cab signed to DD.
William: Growing Up- The guys in FOB have been tight with the guys in TAI since the very beginning.
All that aside, Elvis Costello, Patrick's vocals, and the composition make this song awesome.

1,2,4,5,6,7 are good/great. the others are listenable/bad
edit: if i had to choose one, i'd probably go with shipped gold standard right now. that's probably gonna change many times
