they aren't on the artists page anymore. hopefully now the next album will sound nothing like Bright Lights Of America.

Go back to Fat.
Don't get snatched up by Epitaph.

or SideOneDummy, the retirement for punk bands who floundered on a major

I actually liked For Blood and Empire, but I'd like to see them go back to Fat Wreck

Maybe they will actually make some decent music after their last shitty album.

yes that was it.
its too bad, because I thought For Blood And Empire had a handful of catchy songs on it and could've gotten them a big fanbase. oh well

They got a good relationship with Fat so wouldn't surprise me if they did go back. And Fat Wreck has a "one album" sort of contract too.
Bright Lights was pretty swell.

hah I was just wondering about this. Back to Fat, now.

some bands are meant to change, and some bands are meant to deliver the type of music they are expected to. A-F is the latter type

Did anyone really expect them to last on a major?

Didn't click with the red states, I guess.

i've liked every one of their albums, including Bright Lights  guess i'm easily pleased when it comes to them. i'd like to see them go back to Fat. if they signed to Epitaph though that'd be ridiculous haha. they've signed so many great ones lately heh
Did anyone really expect them to last on a major?
With Hot Topic still being a multi-national comgolorate? Oh, fuck yeah. If they had a major other than RCA they would still be on it. It was just poor management which turned into poor direction which is why they had poor production.

RCA signed them in an attempt to cash in on a 'moment', they went along because it alloted them more recording money and a slightly greater ability to get their message out. Now that 'moments' passed and sales were never impressive, so I really doubt this came as much of a surprise to the boys.
I'd like to see them go back to Fat or Side One Dummy, because they tend to meddle the least with their artists, besides they don't have the fashion sense to be an Epitaph band these days.

I thought RCA was too big of a label for them. I too would like to see them on Fat Wreck again.

Maybe the people will finally stop bitching now. I wasn't too fond of Bright Lights of America either but I wasn't all shook up about it, aside from that From Ashes Rise thing, which I've said enough of in the past few days.

No, it's just that Green Day is dead to me.

oh, yeah well i was thinking that RCA was trying to ride them for money as a "punk band" like what happened to Green Day
