I think that I am one of the only people who still has 56k. See, while I'm at college, life is good because I have a T1 connection that enables me to keep up with everything but at home...ugh. I hate it. So here's to a drastic lack of posts from me until September.

I've only used 56k at a friends house. Pretty bad. At school, we had a sick connection but horrible PC's, so it felt like 56k too.

Yeah but the thing is, all websites nowadays are custom made for broadband high speed connections whereas when you had 14.4 k connection, the Internet was probably in its infancy. It's very tough to navigate to pages. I am glad that ap.net is simple.

Haha.. No. It was atleast 6 years ago. Nothing was happening on the internet that would need anything more than a 14.4 modem. It still sucked though.
