underrated or too much like general radio rock?
because honestly i love them.

A lot of my friends are really into them, but my opinion...I wouldn't say generic radio rock, but they do bore me and I do not find the voice appealing.

I like a few songs by them but not a fan overall

They've been one of my favorite bands for years.
I wouldn't say they're necessarily underrated, but I do think people don't give them a chance because some of their singles have blended in with the radio-rock of the time. Which is a shame because their albums are pretty solid and definitely not always well represented by the singles.

Vena Sera was the last "mainstream rock" album I ever bought, like a year and a half ago. It was a very good album. Haven't listened to it in a long time though.

Wonder What's Next was a fluke album. This band is mostly forgettable.

I jam to them when they come on the radio. Definitely a guilty pleasure though.

Not a fan, but they are one of the very few enjoyable radio rock bands.

Have you heard their independent release on Squint Records called Point #1? I thought it was rather impressive.

I remember liking them last year. They make some catchy singles. I Get It, is still a guilty pleasure for me.

It's kinda like Tool Lite or something, but it was a pretty enjoyable album, even though they're not the sort of stuff I usually like. I've liked a few songs on each album since then, but that was the only one I really liked the whole way through.

I used to love Wonder What's Next back in the day. It was the first album i ever downloaded in its entirety. Family System, Comfortable Liar, Don't Fake This, etc. were some stand out tracks. Good album. It was also cool how they recorded a dvd at the Norva in VA. Oh and The Clincher is a rocking song.

Yeah I have heard some songs off Point #1, since I first listened to this band many years ago when Wonder What's Next was fresh and new and all that. I wasn't impressed with Point #1 and I think ForeverDelayed makes a good point that it seemed to much like a redux, not strong enough songwriting to get anywhere. Wonder What's Next is their standout album mostly because the songs are just much better than their other records.

I always like their singles, and there are quite a few of their songs I love. I've never had the urge to give a full album a spin, but I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy it.

as radio rock go, they are the best, I enjoy all four of their albums

I fucking LOVE Chevelle. Their singles have defenitly kind of blended but almost not really. If your a person who's into lyrics you'd understand Chevelle singles were a little different. Especially "The Red". But otherwise their albums as a whole are incredible. I'd reccommend them to anybody to give a real listen to.

I think with Chevelle, theyre a band that starts out catchy, then you begin to hate because they seem almost too catchy and you forget about them for awhile. Then one day you're like "Hey, I'm gonna listen to some Chevelle" and you're hooked. I think they're fuckin' awesome, and they've got some really solid songs, with hard-hitting riffs.

Bumping for the new album. Decent. Not as good as Sci-Fi Crimes though.

I didn't like Sci-Fi Crimes very much. Will probably listen to the new one soon enough, hopefully will rekindle my interest in them.

There's a few songs on it that are decent but it's probably my least favorite since their debut for me.

for some reason, once every like 4 months i get a hankering for this band. i just need to listen to 4 or 5 of their songs and then i've had my fill and i go back to never wanting to hear anything like this for another 4 months. its so bizarre

Just listened to Hats Off to the Bull. I felt the album started off pretty weak but got somewhat stronger as it went along, with the title track sticking with me the most. The two slow songs, "Envy" and "Prima Donna", were pretty decent changes of pace. Not a fan of their first single from the album.

I don't care for it nearly as much as Sci-Fi Crimes, which, while hit and miss, had songs like "Shameful Metaphors", "Sleep Apnea", and "Jars" that turned into earworms pretty quickly.

The two songs I've heard from this sucked. not optimistic, but might give it a listen if I'm bored sometime.

Did you ever listen to 'Wonder What's Next'?

I still love "Family System", but that's pretty much it for me...i'll always just link them to my childhood.
