Hey gang, I'd like to take a second to tell you about, in my opinion, the best band in Maine right now, The Cambiata.
They're an indie-rock quintet with post-hardcore/metal roots, but you certainly couldn't tell from the music they make now. Back in February, they released a five-song EP called To Heal, and began work on a second album after the success of the band's first disc, Into The Night. To Heal was a far different disc from Into The Night, with the band making leaps and strides towards indie, while still maintaining a cinematic level of intensity.
Anyway, I tell you this now because the first song from the new record has been posted on the band's Myspace. The song is called Hell's Kitchen, and it's fantastic.
