President George W. Bush’s overall job approval rating has hovered just below 50 percent since the beginning of the year, and now most Americans think he is out of touch with their priorities.
...
Six in 10 Americans don’t think the President shares their priorities for the country; just 34 percent say he does. These are the lowest marks Bush has received on this question since the eve of his first inauguration, when CBS News started asking it. An even larger majority -- 68 percent -- says Congress does not share their priorities.
Thoughts?

What happened to the 51% who voted for him?
Did they go... "Oops...uh... my.... uh...bad."
I'm really not surprised at the ratings.
If you believe that the approval ratings would be any better in Kerry was prez...
Then you are fooling yourself. It sucks that the choice most americans have to make is a lesser of two evils but thats what its boiled down to. Democrats have so corrupted the classic liberal viewpoint, and republicans have most of the drawbacks of Democrats , plus social fascism, with little to redeem themselves.

not surprising, i think the average Gallup numbers have been around 53% or 54% for all Presidents

Yep. It's no surprise that it's happening. But it should have happened before.

Absolutely. That's whats wrong with our government. The politicians aren't in touch with the people. That's why Caesar was so successful, he spent money on keeping the mass population happy, not just the super rich.

Most Americans don't agree with the far right policies the adminstration and the majority of Congress are trying to push through.

Cheney makes all of the decisions anyway, he's the power behind Bush, so assasinating Bush really wouldn't make a difference...
I think that America really needs a wakeup call.. we're still a relatively young country. Let's not forget that we were built on being a mix of so many different countries and groups of people, here. I think today we're so focused now on helping one particular group of people or using one group's views to govern an entire country, and that's our problem. There's always a percentage of people that don't like how things are being handled, and now it's the majority that doesn't like it. We're falling apart.

Gallup found in late 03' that 40% of Americans consider themselves conservative, while less then 20% saw themselves as liberal.....so I’d say there are probably (although maybe not?) more Americans who are in favor of Bush's policy then who are in favor of the far left "ideas" coming out of the democrats in congress. But either way I’d say it’s a bit of stretch to out right say “most” disapprove….

On top of that it’s really a bit of a stretch to call Bush's policy "far right" as Bush himself is hardly the model of a true conservative, anymore. And that's not even getting into the actions of neo-cons, which are more liberal then real conservative....…..

what far-right policies are you referring to? only thing i can think of that would be 'far-right' would be the marriage amendment.
idiot.

Well actually I believe it was the whole entire senate that each took a turn stabbing him. But the person I believe you're referring to is Brutus and the famous line "Et tu Brute?" right when Brutus is holding the knife getting ready to stab Caesar. But no, Brutus is not his brother, he was Caesars closest adviser.

ya Caesar saw him as a brother but they were not related. Horrible shit.
Hence the reason why he was brutally murdered.
he was murdered by power hungry government officials, there were several extremely powerful conspirators including Brutus, his closest friend and advisor.

I wouldn't call Brutus power hungery... if i remember correctly he killed caesar because he thought it would benefit the people, not for the power...

No, but the others were. Caesar had become too powerful.

This is true and also Brutus' family has had a history of dethroning rulers who become tyrannical and hold absolute power, which is what Caesar was becoming. It was in Brutus' blood to do it from the very beginning.
