those "chats" are conducted via phone. a guy was reading me questions, and i'd answer them while he paraphrased my answers and typed them into the chat. i have a tendency to be a little long-winded (in an effort to be thorough), and a lot of my answers were shortened, (important) things omitted, words misspelled, etc. it was really fun to do, but if i were to do it over, i would have kept my answers as succinctly as possible.
re: the "favorite player question". the guy asked me "who's your favorite player?" when i went back and re-read the chat, i realized that he left out the "of all-time" part, so i assumed he meant "currently", and yes...after explaining to him that it's hard for me to choose ONE favorite player because i'm such a huge of the sport in general and follow so many teams and players via MLB Extra Innings and multiple fantasy leagues, that if i had to choose someone, it would be jose reyes.
hope that clears that up.
and yeah, scott, i totally think they shied away from some of the geekier stat-based questions and stuck to more run-of-the-mill stuff. not sure why. it would have been fun to get maximum geekage out of that chat.
still lurking occasionally,

I always wondered how those chats were done and how it worked. I always thought you just had some sort of program they'd have you install where you'd only see certain approved questions. That's interesting. Come back for a post-winter meetings chat!
I was hoping they would ask you more sports based questions. I submitted one asking you who you wanted the Angels to sign in free agency.

oh haha...well that's cool man, i'm a mets fan. in terms of the NY public, reyes has gone from being pretty overrated to a player that is not a 'winner'. i am glad somebody from outside the area can see he's such a dynamic and valuable player.
