i realized that most of the albums i had been listening to weren't from 08.
but here are some 08's that i really liked in no particular order:
MGMT (i thought this came out in 07...i was wrong. best album of the year), The Hold Steady (a close second), Portishead, Young Jeezy, The Helio Sequence, Grand Archives, Cecil Otter, Rickolus, Fleet Foxes, Lil Wayne (not the carter 3...the drought mixed tape), i like the likkie li record too...and a couple of others.

mostly though...i have been listening to this band called "Rachel's" (the best music for city walking), the unreleased POS, the unreleased Riverboat Gamblers, "a short history of nearly everything" by bill bryson, and these rappers/rap groups: A.B.N (amazing houston hip hop), everything by young jeezy, and the song "100 miles and running" by NWA.
