I recently found an old notebook filled with lyrics and poetry I'd written overthe course of one week when I got my heart broken for the first time. I was 14/15 when I wrote all of this, and I'm sharing it because I can.

Listen up, 'cos she won't.
you've taken more
than just my innocense
I've got big ideas
for a little man.
don't say it
your hips already did.
-Apology Sex

-

And I'm not waking
anytime soon
so I can sleep with
thoughts of you,
and dream crazy things
like a love not one-sided;
true romance where
you won't want to fight it.
I've got ideas
and I've got solutions
to this problem
it's not the conclusion
One day I'll wake up
and I'll be next to you
but for now I'll just dream,
it's all I can do.
-Dream For Me

-
My lip's bleeding from the preasure
of my teeth sinking in, holding back
everything I'd ever want to
scream into your face until you
fell to the cold ground.
Just keep kissing her face until
she's numb. We both know it's
covering the fact you're
wishing with every moment it was me.
day two

-
This week's poll says you're the new thing
and you'll hold that title until
my guns finally penatrate your vest,
letting your pride bleed away.

You'll retaliate, you'll fight back
with your (take it) back bone,
a spine made of other people's,
valor that's not your own.

Keep living in your bubble, dear.
Keep believing you matter and make a difference.
You're the caeser of this scene
and baby, Brutus isn't far behind.
-Tragedy

-

The sun never rises when you live like I do.
Night and day are one in the same,
and sometimes, if I look the right way,
a distant star lights up the sky
but a quick glance again reminds me
that things, well they never change,
and still all I see is the darkest of blues.
-I Know You're Lying

-

You said I was a gem but little did I know
you were a collecter of sorts,
and I was just another stone.
Now I'm 40 ounces away from putting you in the ground
where you'd see all the rocks you'd ever want.
-Diamonds

-

I've been standing at the edge of my driveway,
my toes freezing to the pavement,
my eyes stuck straight ahead.
My body has stood motionless
since the day I pushed you into the road
and you never turned back.
Another few hours and I'll be nothing but ice,
and you'll still be walking away,
only this time with a replacement me.
Hand in hand, you'll keep moving forward,
never once seeing that you replaced gold with copper.
She'll kiss your lips until she's breatheless,
and you'll undress and you'll begin,
but all the while you'll think of me.
And as hours pass and the copper rusts,
maybe you'll begin to turn your head back.
-Anthony

-

I see your face in photographs
and images in my head.
Tears roll from my cheek,
and all I want
is you in my arms.
I hope it's warm
wherever you are,
because it's cold back home.
-I Miss You is Only the Half Of it

-

These cold thoughts
on cold winter nights,
they're keeping me
from where I want to be;
a crowded room,
my lips against yours,
my hands around
your supple throat.

I'm a ship,
your love's a cannonball,
watch me shatter
when you finally hit.
