Why should an actor's personal life have any affect on how you view their performance? Plus, it's ironic that a country with a past of religious intolerance would then attempt to penalize another person's religious beliefs simply because they disgree with them. Bottom line, Cruise is a bit nutty but gives good performances and apparently looks very close to the person he is portraying.

are you people completely crazy, or do you just not know what the Church of Scientology is all about? If anything, it laughs in the face of religion and discredits what others believe in. The leader of their group was known to have said:

and then a few years later, he started the Church of Scientology and "revealed" the story of Xenu, alien ghosts being trapped in Earth's volcanoes, blah blah blah. Oh, and then recruited celebrities and promised them they would be able to free themselves of alien souls if they paid enough money and were spiritually audited. It's a fucking joke, and the only people that can become members of the Church are the ones that pay money.
