Indie Access Radio (www.indieaccessonline.com) is now broadcasting 24 hours a day at www.indieaccessonline.com. Bands like Armor For Sleep, Copeland, Anberlin, Circa Survive - all day every day of the week. Thought you might wanna check it out. They're also giving away band merch the entire month of June to mark the new broadcast.

It's great except for all the "Anti Baby Killer" commercials.. Totally unexpected, and rather annoying. I think I'll stick to my own Itunes.

the music's good but their pro-life propaganda ruins it.

It's not "propaganda" - it's called advertising. Stand True is a business that paid for that ad.
If you can't make it through 30 seconds of an ad you don't agree with, then you'd better turn off your tv, your radio and never look at a billboard driving down the interstate - in other words, never leave your house.

man, i like your station but you're wrong. following the ad some guy (maybe you?) reiterated that we should support stand true. and if the station isn't a propaganda machine then it wouldn't agree to the promotion of one side of a political and moral issue. how about some pro-choice ads? whether you like it or not, the station is actively promoting the pro-life campaign; advertising or any form of media that reflects only one side's views is propaganda.
i don't drive down interstates. we don't have them.

Anyone who uses words like "propaganda machine" isn't worth much rebuttal, but just because I don't mind a little debate now and then I'll join in.
What about "some pro-choice ads"? For all you know, that ad could have run 5 minutes after you signed off (it didn't, by the way). To parallel your accusation, if IAR runs an ad for AbsolutePunk.net, that MUST mean, by your definition, that I don't get any music news anywhere else, because I'm devoted to promoting AP only,...running them through my "propaganda machine". Of course, that seems ridiculous, but it's supposedly an entirely different matter because it's labeled a "political and moral issue".
Your assumption seems to lean toward IAR being some abortion clinic bomber, when our focus is on playing great indie music 24 hours a day that, by the way, NOONE ELSE IN THE ENTIRE US is doing right now. In case you don't know this, radio takes money and ads generate those funds.
If you want to run an ad about how narrow-minded you're being, then please review our ad card. Otherwise, keep your "propaganda" assumptions to yourself because hundreds of others are listening right now without any complaints.
Thanks for listening.

completely missing the point, and there's absolutely no need to criticise my choice of language, it adds no weight to your case. if you advertised ap.net you wouldn't be promoting any kind of political or moral cause, just like you pointed out right there. i know you can't seem to see the difference, but it's there. it's like party political broadcasts (i don't know if you guys have them or call them that in the us); broadcasters would NOT show a presentation by only one political party. pro-life and pro-choice is a political issue and by running the ad and making the comments following the ad, you have unquestionably attached a pro-life label to your station. whatever you think you've done or havent done, that is what you have actually achieved, and it's not just me that thinks so. i definitely did not intend to accuse you of being some kind of pro-choice extremists and i apologise if that's the impression i gave you - i know the motives behind the station are all about the music, and i really think it's great what you've set up and are running there, but you cannot seriously expect to retain the appearance of a neutral stance. you are incredibly naive if you believe the pro-life ads don't in any way make any kind of statement about your preference on this subject matter.

Let’s put an end to all the drama shall we? Let me ask you this - if you had heard an ad for pro-choice on IAR – would we still be having this conversation? Probably not.
We can’t please everyone – we’re just trying to get these great bands on the air and advance the exposure of indie rock music along the way. And, to be honest, we feel that we’re doing it pretty well.
If you can’t get over 30 seconds of a commercial that you don’t agree with to help us make that happen, then so be it. If you don’t like the way we do things, then simply don’t listen. You surely have the freedom of your opinion and stance - as do we.
No hard feelings – just remember – one’s opinion doesn’t always set the rule.
Like our "motto" says: "We play indie rock music...and we love what we do."

Regardless of what the ad is..its the only one. and much like watching the same station on tv for more than 30 minutes...it gets old...again, regardless of the ads content.
I really do enjoy the music on the station, and its efforts to fill this niche. But I'm just stating for consumer feedback purposes, I have most of this on my itunes, and those songs I dont, I never hear who theyre by, so its hard to find out about new music... just some thoughts, sir.

it's not that i disagree or agree with the commercial itself, i merely wanted to raise the point that it appeared the station was trying to push the pro-life agenda. it was just a point i wanted to raise because i felt this was unneccesary for a radio station to do, but i know now that it really is all about the music and i fully support you for that. as much as i disagreed with the ads, i really like the station. you're doing a great job, keep it up.

Thanks for the feedback. Thing is, if we played 2 commercials each hour, you'd say they get old. If we played 4 commercials, you'd say we played too many. The bottom line is, they're what's needed to make the station happen. Just like ad banners on site's such as this - I may get tired of seeing them all, but I know they're what's necessary to keep things going.
When we have a live dj on-air, all bands played are announced and given background info. And all of the bands that we play are also listed in our "bands" section as well for people that want to check them out further.
Seems funny to me how everyone is always complaining about "mainstream radio" and how much radio sucks and now that a station comes along that plays ONLY the bands that they know and love, they still complain.
Thankfully, the only negative feedback we seem to be getting is on here - lol
Thanks for your thougths nonetheless, we'll do the best we can.
