View Full Version : Dear You (Summer is near)

So...School is almost over, and this year has been pretty fun, I can say that I have actually learned something in the past few weeks. I have noticed a lot of things over time. One thing that is truly intriguing to me is adaptation. Not adaptation in plants an animals, or anything of that nature (no pun intended), but in different social groups. Everyone throughout life has their social group, or "clique". I believe that something that obviously impacts someone’s life is the peers that a person surrounds them with. Although some people might not notice it, but aside from physical characteristics, the people you surround yourself with makes up who you are. Some people might call themselves different and not like everyone else, just because they don't act like what society portrays to be as "normal", but odds are, they are just like a lot of other people throughout the world. Being friends with three or four different people throughout school will not make a person unique, but they will be just like their best friends. Most people don't notice it...it's sometimes hard to catch, but everyone that you surround yourself with rubs off on you, even if it is a very small detail of your life. The more a person is with someone, the more alike the two, or three, or four begin to act. When a person surrounds himself with as many different people as they possibly can, that is what I believe makes a person “Unique". This is not directed towards any certain person, but it is just something I have been thinking about lately. So as you begin to mature, and start your transition into your future, try to think if you are unique. This is kind of going along with the whole "Don't judge a book by its cover" saying...have a great summer.

you're not alone.
it's pretty sweet. i love living 20 miles from all of my friends, and i can't get a car without paying for it myself, and i can't get a job without a car, so i'm fucked.

I was going to point that out but felt like one attack per post was good enough.

good job...i don't know if i completely agree with it. you have a simplified version, but you can go much more in depth than that. i have done a lot of thinking about things like this, and you could go on for hours. you won't really get anywhere, but more lost. and somewhere in that time where you are completely lost, you start to see your true priorities in life and that can be extremely frightening whether you think so or not. moral of the story, spend your free time in a place where you aren't alone and able to spend too much time thinking.

Same for me pretty much. My friends drive though, but still it's a long trip.
