We've all got a song that when we turn it on, it motivates us, keeps us going when times are tough, and gives us the strength to believe in ourselves.
What's yours? Post a clip of the lyrics that really mean the most to you from this song.
For me, it's Street Dogs' "You Alone."
Another rainy New England night
At your wit's end with no hope in sight
You turn on Costello it's welcome to the working week
You're broke and cornered no one to call
On your shoulders the hardship falls
Yet something inside you stirs and you begin to smile
Faced with few options you look to yourself
And begin to decide that
You alone must stand your ground
You take a life worth nothing and turn it around
You stand alone, yeah that's the deal
You have yourself to count on cause no one really cares

'minority' would be my choice.
"stepped out of the line
like a sheep runs from the herd
marching out of time
to my own beat now
the only way i know
one light, one mind
flashing in the dark
blinded by silence of a thousand broken hearts
"for cryin out loud" she screamed unto me
a free for all
fuck 'em all
'you are your own sight'"
how is that not motivating? infact i'm going to listen to it now.

Mutiny! by Set Your Goals
Take back your discipline now. This is a genuine revolt.
I am far from, so far from romanced.
There's too much business in this; I'm going back to my garage.
I have been completely disenchanted.
Turn my amp up to eleven; six nickel wound strings have saved me again.
Suits and ties are not to congregate in my sanctuary,
judged only by my hands.

"Lose Yourself" by Eminem
"Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity
To seize everything you ever wanted-One moment
Would you capture it or just let it slip?
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready
To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgettin
What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud
He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out
He's choking, how everybody's joking now
The clock's run out, time's up over, bloah!
Snap back to reality, Oh there goes gravity
Oh, there goes Rabbit, he choked
He's so mad, but he won't give up that
Easy, no
He won't have it , he knows his whole back's to these ropes
It don't matter, he's dope
He knows that, but he's broke
He's so stagnant that he knows
When he goes back to his mobile home, that's when it's
Back to the lab again yo
This this whole rhapsody
He better go capture this moment and hope it don't pass him"

To whatever makes me love You more
Open wide my door
While there's still life to run toward"
queen - don't stop me now
necrophagist - symbiotic in theory (this one's not empowering lyrically, actually it's kind of depressing, but the music is incredible... I listened to it in my car right before my last final, and I walked into my final so excited that I was shaking)
'minority' would be my choice.

I was just about to post that. Coming Clean as well for me.
PS. The bolded section is seriously one of my favorite lyrics ever written. And the live version from BiaB is just great.

This changes for me all the time, but recently Nada Surf - Weightless has been putting me in a really good mood every time I listen to it.

Eminem- 'Till I Collapse
"Sometimes you just feel tired. You feel weak. And when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you, find that inner strength and just pull that shit out of you, and get that motivation to not give up, and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse."

Autopilot Off - "Raise Your Rifles":
All my trials and tribulations
Have led me to one realization
That no matter where I've been
I'm still stuck inside my skin
And I'm not trying to be something I'm not
Letting those thoughts get in
'Cause I won't end up twisted and insane
All those fears and reservations
Ended up as amputations
'Cause no matter where I've been, I'm still stuck inside my skin
And all my insecurities
And my anxieties
Tore out my insides
And it took awhile to find
That I don't really mind
Life on the outside
So take up your aim
And raise your rifles
Fire away
'Cause I don't really care at all
In particular the bolded lines... who cares what the rest of the world thinks if you're happy with who you are? I try to keep that in mind.
Joe Esposito - You're The Best Around

I'm not really into SKSK anymore, but My Darkest Hour will always be their best song. There's so much energy in it.

Cinematic Sunrise's EP that came out this year is very uplifting to me. I can literally play Umbrella's And Elephants or If Lilly Isn't Back By SUnset or The Wordless so many times when I'm just completely out of it. And I just smile.
EDIT: also, The Takeover by Four Year Strong. That gets me so excited for something. Also, THe Day No One Needed To Know by Moneen. Such a good song.
