I've just posted my review for The Aquabats (http://www.theaquabats.com) - Charge! right here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/reviews/showproduct.php?product=762). In addition to my review, be sure to check out Ryan's review of the record as well. Remember, this sucker hits stores on June 7th, and I personally reccomend picking it up.

Man, I feel the wrath of the super rad for sure. but fuck...AQUABATS SUCK. and so do their superhero-dressing fans.
ska shouldnt be that happy...well it should be happy-sounding, but the lyrics should be sad, bittersweet, and depressing aaron barrett style

It's been 8 years since the Aquabats released a ska record my friend.

If you're looking for bittersweet and depressing ska lyrics, you need to listen to the Slackers. Some of their songs bring incredible close to tears when sung by the incredibly underrated Vic Ruggiero.
Third wave ska was built on fun songs with fun lyrics, and RBF in their heyday were decent satirists for the genre. If you think he's a great lyricist, you are simply an idiot, and I feel sorry for and those around you as you live your day to day life, as challenging it may be. You poor, poor fool.
PS. Shut up.

How can someone hate on the Aquabats lyrics? and I appreciate Brandon and his ska news on bands with actual talent like Streetlight as opposed to more Fall Out Boy crap. Tate will delete this thread too probably.

The Aquabats aren't sad, sorrowful teenagers who play dress up with mom's makeup in fashion photo shoots, so they probably won't get much love from the fans of this site.
