Funeral for a Friend (http://www.funeralforafriendmusic.com) have released a new track, now available for download (and streaming) at purevolume (http://www.purevolume.com.funeralforafrien d). The track is 'End of Nothing,' off their upcoming album, HOURS, arriving June 14th. The new one is good stuff. I just don't hear any maturation really. It's still a solid release though.

yeah this song is great and all but I just read on theprp.com that Ferret Records has signed a band called "Dead Hearts" and I had to share that with everyone, thats the gayest emo shit I have ever heard.

I haven't checked out any of the new songs.
What are they like? Better than the old?

I thought Casually Dressed was alright, but kind of cliche screamo, I'm hoping this a little bit more original.

Personally I think this CD starts out with a bang and then kinda drones on and ends with a whimper.... promising but not quite there... I think their next release has the potential to be huge though...

Dead Hearts is a silly name, but im rather sure..if i remember that they are all kinds of metal/hardcore/thrash or something. So yea, not so emo..musical wise.

dude, u should check out seven ways to scream your name, they used to be almost straight up hardcore, with a little melody.waaaay heavier than thier latest stuff. it actually sounds like the new hurt process cd, which u should check out too, if u get a chance. hope that was some knid of help

dead hearts are an amazing hardcore band. hardcore. not emo.
maybe check the band out next time before you open your mouth.

no no, you read correctly. i've heard the record, and they pretty much DID stop with the screaming. its still a REALLY good record.

I`ve heard a lot of generic and boring emo/screamo/hardcorewithwhining records in the last months, but this is definentely better than 95% of them ... I really love this record ... I can`t put my finger on what it is especially that keeps me listening to it, but I think, it`s just good songwriting and pretty good musicianship and production ... something a lot of bands lack these days ...

well maybe theyre not as hardcore as finch and their amazingly hardcore song project mayhem but who cares they still bring the mosh
