Does this team try to be hated? Their coach is a self-proclaimed genius, and he wears safari hats. The Murderer is their star player. Their running back just got out of jail after trying to set up a drug deal. They even have a backup DB that was questioned on gambling and gun charges. Oh, and to top it off, Deion Sanders is a part of the cast. This team is like the 90's Cowboys, but with half the talent. I hope Jamal's feeling a bit more loose this season.

(If only I could have found the pic of him crying on the sidelines after the Steelers beat them in 01)

Lewis was just involved with the murder, he was never charged with comitting the actual act.

The coach is a genius. Okay maybe not genius but Billick is very very very football savy.

As for Deion....he's hilarious.

People bitch about some of these players but when it comes down to it they can play, Lewis is the best LB in the league today, the other Lewis is one of the top 3 HB's and Deion is just....yeah.

Todd Heap would be one of the top 3 best tight ends in football if he didn't get injured by a cheap shot from your Steelers. And our secondary was/is badass. Ed Reed is easily one of the best defensive backs in the NFL and hes only 22 or so.

Ed Reed is the best DB in football, there's not one playmaker in a secondary like him.

And they have the best defense in the game. They got Samari Rolle to go alongside Chris McAlister and they got a legit #1 wideout with Derrick Mason.

They.Will.Be.Nasty.

He's my star in Madden. Leads the team in tackles and interceptions every season.

Do you play on PS2 or Xbox? If so online? We should play sometime if you do.

On my laptop. It's 2003 though, so online matchmaking isn't still active. I'm too cheap to get the new one every year, so I just ask for it every year at Christmas until I get a new one.

Yeah, and OJ was innocent too.

Brian Billick is not a genius. For one example, he lets go Trent Dilfer (sure, not a good QB, but one of the best at not losing the game for you) and brings in Elvis fucking Grbac. That guy was so awful that he chose to retire after that one season in his early 30's, because the Ravens wouldn't pay him $5 million the next year.

Deion is funny, but he's also often annoying, and his skills have diminished. Ray Lewis is also going downhill. Jamal Lewis is in no way one of the 3 best running backs in the league. That's crazy.

Todd Heap would be one of the top 3 best tight ends in football if he didn't get injured by a cheap shot from your Steelers. And our secondary was/is badass. Ed Reed is easily one of the best defensive backs in the NFL and hes only 22 or so.

Trash Heap will never be good if Kyle Boller is throwing the ball. And that wasn't even a cheap shot. He was hurt on the previous play, and you can never tell if those guys are faking it or not (Randy Moss owned Al Harris in the playoffs for a TD by faking an injury). And if you're going to talk about cheap shots, all I have to say is Terrell Suggs late hit on Roethlisberger that made him sit out the rest of the game and the next one. This has been building over the years into a hated rivalry, so plays like this will happen. I expect a lot of shit next year, especially with all this Raven hype that's really annoying right now.

They have young Ed Reed, but the defense as a whole isn't nowhere good as it used to be. Carson Palmer burned their ass in a huge 4th quarter comeback. Samari Rolle is coming off of a terrible year, and he's really only had 3 good seasons in his career. Derrick Mason is a big improvment to their receiving corps, but I don't expect him to have anywhere near 90 catches, because once again, Boller is the QB, and he is terrible.

Kyle Boller - Just the facts here

In 27 games and 25 starts...

- He's completed 60% or more of his passes 3 times
- Threw more TDs than INTs 8 times
- TD to INT ratio of 1.0
- Career completion percentage of 54.4
- Passer rating under 60.0 9 times
- One 300 yard passing game
- Threw for less than 100 yards in a game 8 times
- Threw 0 TDs in 11 starts

The Ravens offense will be completely different this season and a hundred times better. They FINALLY fired Matt Cavanaugh, who is roughly as good of an offensive coordinator as a fresh pile of horse shit. Between Jim Fassel and that Neuheisel, they'll be much better. Boller will be better, and so will the Ravens. If you watch Around The Horn, 3 of the 4 said this season Boller would have a breakout year.

And by the way, the Ravens are my second team. Pats all the way baby.

Pats then Ravens? Good god, your taste in teams disgusts me.

Boller has to make huge strides to be considered good this year. You watch those games last season against Philly and NE, and he was just awful. You can't be throwing for less than 100 yards in one out of every three games. Mark Clayton is an enigma so far, so I think teams can contain Mason pretty easily. Trash Heap is the x factor, since TE's are so valuable these days. I expect a David Carr breakout year much more than one from shitty Boller. The guy's not Ryan Leaf, but he's also not even on the same level as the young guys like Leftwich, Carr, and Harrington.

My tastes in teams disgusts you? How about I was born in MA and lived there for 6 years and then moved here. I'm rooting for the home team, deal with it.

ray lewis is overrated. ed reed is the leader of that defense. lewis relies on the front 4 to slow down the backs and his other linebackers to shut down everywhere else so he can pick up the easy finishing tackles. boller is fucking joke. heap and lewis are quality players. the fans are the most foolishly optimistic fans in the world. and i really, really hate the ravens.

It has nothing to do with you. The Patriots and Ravens are probably my two most hated teams.

True story: they had to quit making Ray Lewis wired up for sound after a game where he just cried all game long about being double teamed, when he wasn't.
