Well please discuss the genius filmmaker that is Terrence Malick.

5 films in 37 years. Prolific isn't something you would label him as.

But the films that he has done, most would agree are Classics. With one in the oven currently.

Badlands-1973
Days Like Heaven-1978
The Thin Red Line-1998
The New World-2005

Upcoming Tree of Life-2009.

Fantastic.

Malick is brilliant but Victor Erice beats him at his own game.

I could only imagine working with him would be fucking annoying but his final products are great.

Apparently Malick has been filming some stuff with Christian Bale at the Austin City Limits festival... (http://thefilmstage.com/news/terrence-malick-spotted-filming-christian-bale-in-austin-has-his-next-feature-begun-production/) Interesting.
