The Cure did a Myspace secret show last night in West Hollywood at the very intimate venue, The Troubadour. The capacity for this place is no more than 500. Seemed like less than 300 people when I was actually inside. I was on the barricade right in front of Roberts pedal board. Perfect view and tons of eye contact with him. This show was a total dream come true. I scored the encore setlist!

The setlist
01. Underneath the Stars
02. Pictures of You
03. Lullaby
04. The Perfect Boy
05. alt.end

SOOOOOO JEALOUS RIGHT NOW; two-three hours in front of Smith must have been nothing short of awe insipiring.
"Wrong number" is an interesting choice for the set list; how did the new stuff translate live?

They sounded great! I really wish they would've played Switch from the new album, instead of Sleep When I'm Dead. This was my fourth time seeing them this year and holy fuck! Easily one of the best nights of my life.

OHMYGOD!!! I'm kicking myself for not going to this. LA's a 2 hour drive from my house but I could have easily gotten there in time to get a writband. Hopefully they'll tour the states again next year....

The Cure puts on awesome shows because they're always a combo of mega hits, new songs, and fan favorites.

I saw them back in June and they played about the same length setlist/time. I'll admit I really like The Cure and they are one one of my favorite late 70s/80s bands I do not know a ton of their stuff. Obivously, all of the "hits" and a couple albums scratterd around but it was a great show. I believe the second encore at my show was exactly the same I think, it seems they always end with 10:15 and then Killing A Arab. Good stuff, for sure.

I read a review that said a ton of celbs where in the house, did you see anyone cool?

It had nothing to do with the rain. They only had 150 wristbands and there were a bunch of people in line who got turned away.

Haha, what a shocker that he was there. But that'd be cool to me because I am a fan of his, he's done some really solid acting and I like 30STM.

Damn, I can't believe they could manage to play a 30 song set list. Most headlining bands can barely do a 15 song concert.
