i think this could be decent if it was the drummer of korn, the guitarst of system, the percussionist and either of the guitarists of slipknot and the singer of snot (back from the dead) and someone's bassist. i'd say korn's, but he put out a really terrible rap album a while ago, so even though hes a decent bassist, he sucks in my book.

snot is a killer band, i feel bad that you've never heard them. it's not the most original stuff, but it's got some crazy energy and is fun as hell. too bad the singer died, i think they would have gotten pretty big.

I used to be into Korn back in the day. I still really like Slipknot. They are refreshing from time to time when I'm overwhelmed with punk. System of a Down is of course awesome as well.

They signed an imprint deal with Corporate Punishment Records (http://myspace.com/corporatepunishment). From what I know, Thom from CPR is good friends with Tumor from Snot and that's how this deal got put together.

And also, Thom from CPR told me that this band is a side project - and is basically a chance for the members of those bands to fuck around and not be taken seriously. Old school punk. It's not screamo at all. Not nu-metal either.

Jesus...I like how everyone is so quick to judge and jump on the hate wagon. First off, if you actually go to myspace and listen, it's pretty decent older style punk. Secondly, the members from Korn and Slipknot are not even in the 'main' lineup, they just helped record or are going to tour with the band. Dammit, Leeroy give some things a chance before you shit on it, because we all know that if this news post was about Bright Eyes taking a dump there would be a good amount of kids in here saying that it was "the most groundbreaking deuce ever shat" or some other nonsense. But let me tell you something, i've met these guys and beyond jim and corey, maybe mick (although that begs to be seen) these guys are the biggest bunch of dorks and geeks and sick perverted old men you'll ever meet. With no masks and no gimmick they never would have been signed to shit. They had something with the first album, but i dont know if they could have been signed on that alone. Between Iowa and the latest, WTF? God, go listen to Premonitions of War if you want to hear something that kicks your ass for real, with out all the gimmicks and nonsense thrown in.

I don't really care what kind of people they are. That has no impact on whether or not I like the music. I could care less if they were 97 years old, gay, blind, and hermaphorditic (can hermaphordites be gay? Question for another time...), as long as I enjoy the album then I enjoy the album. And I stand by what I said...I think it was one of the best albums of 2004. I'll like what I'll like.

I'm not ashamed to say I enjoy Slipknot quite a fucking bit. Vol. 3 was a great album. Korn; overrated and old. System; I was dissapointed as anything with their new album. Right up there with MCS as biggest dissapointment of the year. And I never listened to Snot.

I think most people would agree with me that this listen was akin to butchering goats with a hacksaw.
