So, who do you have a hunch about breaking up next year? Any bands going to release their last album in 2009? Discuss who and why.

1) the get up kids can't "break up" because they are doing a reunion tour and have not announced any plans for tours after that or another album or anything. they are, for all intents and purposes, still broken up unless they plan more tours besides an anniversary reunion tour or write a new album.

2) I'm going to make my own prediction and say there is no way the mars volta breaks up in 2009. they are working on another record, and at the show on their last tour i saw them on cedric said they already have their next *two* records nearly completely written (and omar has said they had more than that written in interviews). They'll put out 1 if not 2 records next year and won't break up. Of course thats my prediction and I could be entirely wrong. But I see them going strong now (Bedlam was a very solid release) and have no reason to think they will break up anytime soon

I doubt they will. Their old fanbase was just a bunch of scene kids. Now they have attracted the 'older' crowd, and they all love their music. I went to one of their first tours, and then I attended the RBL tour and was shocked to see how much their fanbase has changed.

I predict that both +44 and AVA will either break up or have a change of line-up.

None of the former blink members have done anywhere near as well as they were doing. AVA has gone done hill since We Don't Need to Whisper. Pretty much went back to a much poppy blink kind of sound.

More specifically +44 having a "indefinite hiatus" and AVA "covertly" kicking another person out.

Who knows though. Mark and Travis seem content with +44 and Tom will never admit that AVA has only gone down hill.

Forever the sickest kids- i dont understand this band. I mean i like it, but i dont understand it. They came from no where. They just made a band, recorded a record, and got signed. i dont understand this. thats not how it works, and i wanna be like "did some manager just put you all together and marker you as a 'pop punk' band? i dont understand it at all and i hear the suck live. im sure they will break up.

i dunno who else. honestly , i think any of these new extreme pop punk bands could break up at any minute. I like their music a lot but i feel like their existance is so artificial. Im talking about bands like The Maine, We The Kings, Cute is what we aim for, etc

Paramore is not going to breakup anytime soon. I can't imagine Haylee selling out. And I think last year they took a break because of the constant touring.

Their label will push them to work with Howard Benson again, it will fail like their last record and they will be done.

Hawthorne Heights will break up this year.

Taking Back Sunday will break up this summer.

New Found Glory will break up this year.

Cartel will break up this winter.

Hoobastank will break up this summer.

Lostprophets will break up this winter.

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus will be done by this fall....no summer.

Saosin will be done this winter.

The Used is iffy...its flatlined in the middle, it could go either way.

I skipped a few pages, but Saves the Day is not going to break up in 2009. Their album won't be out until March, and they are so excited to do a full tour in support (unlike what they did for Under The Boards), but that should take up the majority of this year.

After that, who knows...but I really hope they don't. And if they do, I still need to hear Getaway live once, but preferably more than once. Thanks.
