Sorry if there's already been a thread on this topic (I'm new to the forums kinda so I wouldn't know), but I was just wondering what bands you are most looking forward to hearing new music by in 09'??
Off the top of my head, I really can't wait to hear NFG's new stuff, also should be interesting to see what Green Day comes up with for a follow up to AI, and I'm looking forward to new music by TBS..

Panic has confirmed it will be released by May 2009. They said FBR told them the sooner the record releases, the better.. But I find it abnormal they are releasing it so quickly, being that it was a 3 year period in between the first 2 records.

I'm obviously pumped for Green Day. New Found Glory and NOFX will be some that I will be on the lookout for. I'm seeing a lot of people say Brand New, but are we really sure that a new album will come out in 2009? I'm not betting on it. There are a few others that I'm on the lookout for, but nothing that really warrants a lot of excitement.
for me id say the new cartel (liked chroma, didnt like cartel), paramore, chiodos, circa survive, maybe saosin, paramore, lily allen, my chemical romance, kate nash (supposedly), oh and paramore. im sure there are more too.

I thought Champion was great. It didn't stay with me for long but I thought it was catchy as hell.
Manchester Orchestra, Blink 182, The Secret Theatre, Circa Survive, Finch, Brand New, Alexisonfire, and Moneen all are anticipated greatly by me. I'd have to say the first two are my most anticipated though.

I'm hoping it's not too boring. Crisis was damn good the first couple of songs but then to me it sort of just fell apart as the album dragged on.

The interesting thing about it is that in the few live videos of their new songs, George doesn't scream. Not sure how I feel about the new vocal style. =/

02/11/09, 02:21 PM
Yeah. The other new song I've heard I liked much better but that's mainly because Dallas has a more distinguished part. I was hoping they would go more towards their self titled/watch out but instead they went towards crisis.
