I saw that Franz set on Thursday at Live 105's Not So Silent Night, and it grooooooooves soo much; there is not enough love for those guys, these days.

nope i would say youre both wrong, as in america youre not having this crap thrown down your throat every five minutes by some no name band ripping them off and the radio claiming it to be the greatest thing ever...

this type of music is so diluted over here, you cant tell the difference between one to the next.

Trust me, there are plenty of crappy bands from England that the blogosphere tries to shove down our throat (see: The Klaxons). And it's nice with all the borefests such as the Arcade Fire and Rogue Wave that we can get a fun band like Franz Ferdinand getting acclaim here.

The dance punk thing that invaded the ears of the rock community earlier this decade has made a lot of people less fond of Franz, but they're one of the few from that pack who can create engaging dance punk with memorable hooks in it.

I do agree that it'd be lame to have to hear such a style in constant rotation, but we kind of get that with all of the flavor of the week pop punk bands that run from the blogosphere to every other major media outlet

Yeah, it's on the album. He's been opening with it at most shows he does.

hmmm i'll have to check it out. i mean, the guy has an amazing voice, along with STP being one of my favorite 90's bands.

Yeah, but they played something, like, four or five shows in the area including their tv performances in the area, this radio show, and the myspace secret show; the latter of those was a full length Cure show, according to a set posted earlier.
