Not quite sure what you mean by indie, but I would suggest:
Godspeed You Black Emperor- Raise Your Skinny Fists....
Both Explosions in the Sky cd's (first one is much better)
Lightning Bolt (all their stuff is amazing)
Built to Spill
and finally a local band Death to Tyrants.

those are all of the bands i could think up off the top of my head. you should be more specific "indie" is a very broad genre. how are we supposed to know what floats your boat?

to me indie is more of a style rather than if your signed to a major label.....there are alot of great Indie Rock bands that are on major labels.....
