View Full Version : Do you think the intro of "(Coffee's For Closers)" sounds a lot like "Easy Target"?

When I heard Fall Out Boy's "(Coffee's For Closers)", the intro sounded very familiar to me. And then it hit me! Blink-182's "Easy Target"! I'm curious about your opinion, don't you think the two intro's sound very similar??
Just listened to the intro, and yes.
yeah..although its a pretty generic drum line so i wouldnt think it was intentional or done cuz andy heard that song or anything. but i give travis the win here-although i think coffee's for closures is the better song overall.
i just heard a glengarry glen ross reference a few minutes ago on californication and thought of this song

If it wasn't a fairly standard drum beat I'd say yes, but it is so I didn't.

They do sound really similiar, but nothing I wouldn't say I didn't care about.
You're fucking deaf if you say no. The accents on the snare in Easy Target is the exact same as the snare beat in the Fall Out Boy song.
Not a big deal at all, it's a pretty normal drum beat, but they do sound very similar.

Standard drum beat, but yep.
Intro to Paramore's Hallelujah is strangely familiar to Taking Back Sunday's You know how I do......................:)
Don't know why I felt the need to post that but ohwell
