So this past summer's new festival... the Mayhem Tour, had what I would call a decent line-up. Slipknot, UnderOath, Machine Head, Suicide Silence, The Red Chord, 5 Finger Death Punch etc... but had anyone seen the line-up for the 09 version so far?

Marilyn Manson & Slayer set to co-headline, Trivium and Behemoth announced, and Cannibal Corpse will headline a new "exreme" stage? Wow.... talk about a turn for the worst with that group!

Anyone else agree?

Damn that sounds shitty, though I probably would go to see Slayer.

www.theprp.com (http://www.theprp.com) has most of these bands listed in different news stories. Cannibal Corpse was announced a week ago or so, and Behemoth was about 3 weeks ago.

this sounds like an ozzfest line up tbh
behemoth are decent at best live, and i haven't seen any of the others
its definitely going to be hard to top last year

The fact`that Slayer and Cannibal Corpse are both playing makes the current line up better than last year's.

im honestly kinda dissappointed in the line-up if this is true.
marilyn manson and slayer would be the only reason i go.

last years had bands that could do the hardcore metal thing and still sing.
like slipknot, disturbed, walls of jericho, underoath, dragonforce, and five finger death punch.
whatever, probably still go depending on the undercard.

You didn't even mention the only good band that played this festival last year. You lose.

Surprisingly i will not be attending,

I see slipknot, Trivium, and Coheed in Feb. that's way better then that! Although i would like to see slayer
