Ridiculous Grading System

Did anyone have any classes this semester in which the professors had crazy grading systems?

For example, in my Geology class an A is anywhere between 70 and 100, a B is 60-69, C 50-59, D 40-49, and an F is 39 and below. The hell? I don't think anyone's gotten higher than an 80 on any of his tests. Why make a basic Geology class so difficult, is my question.

We need higher than a 93 to get a 4.0 in our language courses. Found that out the hard way with a tough 92.3 percent which earned me a 3.5 for the semester. Splendid.

I was enrolled in an upper level psych class that kept the bell curve so the highest % of students got C's. Fucked my GPA in the bumhole.

Your prof. sounds crazy. Especially for geology...I'd expect that kind of scale in an upper level chem class or engineering maybe. Not geography

I've had some pretty awesome curving done. I know the grading system has been changed before, but I don't remember to what. I've noticed that A's are usually 93-100 in most classes and 90-100 in the 400 levels.

For one of my marketing exams, my professor curved the grades by 20 points. The average then became a 66.
In an accounting class, he did some weird curve for our first 3 exams and he left the final alone. It was your exam grade x 1.1 + 10. My 79 on the first exam turned into a 97. It was pretty sweet.

I think only one class didn't have a messed up grading system.

Computer science: (Teacher didn't speak English, closer to Chinese and Attendance was 20% of our grade...)
A 85%+
B 70-84
C 55-69
D 40-54

Physics (Again, Russian speaking lady no one gave two shits about this class...pretty sure she's gonna curve it up too)
A 80+
B+ 75-79
B 70-74
C+ 65-69
C 55-64????
D 50-54

Chemistry (Teacher is out of his mind...)
A 70%+
B 64-69
C 54-63
D 50-53
