Sorry the format's a bit fucked up... I didn't feel like retyping all of it. Also, I'm posting two songs at a time so I take up less room on the boards. Thanks.

'A Satchel Takes the Back Burner.'

Narration: Upon De Duolcos’ departure, I thought it prudent to give a satchel of seeds to a friend of mine, a hummingbird named Tok, with the instructions of transportation to the top of the world for my counterpart… Onecca. Onecca holds as large a weight as I do in the balance. We must remember that significance is not to be determined on sight alone, because truth is never altered by perception.

Onecca:
It's not that the words come out wrong,
It's that they don't come out at all.
There's isn't a need to cant on
Without eager ears for your tongue.
Being ignored or isolated
Is worse than scorned and hated
Being so alone
Is worse than any shattered limb
Or broken bone.

Tok: Onec*coughs*ca*coughs*
*breathes heavily*
Onecca!
Onecca: What? What is it Tok?
Slow down, you're out of breath
You're just about to drop!
Tok: Coscious...
Satchel...
Give it...
Duolcos...
Onecca: What of Coscious the Turtle, Tok!?
You're making me nervous, a little, speak up!
Tok: I'm trying, I'm trying
For days I've been flying.
Coscious the Turtle has said
To give you this,
Seeds, a little satchel
Or it could mean our heads!
These are for you
To give to whom
To whom you wish to be you're groom!
Onecca: But Tok, I don't understand.
Tok: He said you'd say that.
And said to rebut: "A fact is a fact
No matter who understands."
Onecca: He's kind of cryptic like that. Hmm.

Onecca: Sure, I'll take the satchel
And give it to whom I wish to be my groom
But what Coscious does not understand
In his near-infinite wisdom
Is that I have been waiting for someone
For what seems to have been eons
But our land is forbidden
And it's taken a toll
I've grown tired of playing this role
So alone.

(In Background):
De Duolcos: I'm not concerned whether I find a home
What's on my mind is from heel to toe
And I'll keep that pattern for the here and the after
To the top of the world, my curiosity will venture!

Tik: Hey did the two of you hear that?
Tok: Stick to your nectar, Tick,
Just leave it at that.
Onecca: No, no, I heard it, too!
I've not heard that sound before,
Have you?
Tik: Not in my life
Onecca: Let's go check it out!
Tik: Something tells me
We should beware of this sound.
Onecca: There it is!
Tok: What is that?
Onecca: It's good-looking!
Tik: I wouldn't say that.
He's got odd feathers...
Tok: Maybe Onecca should change back!?
Onecca: Just a gander, Tok,
No harm in that!

De Duolcos: What is this beauty
I have never seen?
Onecca: Oh, no, he sees through my veil,
He sees I'm no tree!
So why am I not afraid?
(De Duolcos: I should be afraid, Coscious forbade.)
Why can I picture him
(De Duolcos: So why can I picture her)
In the rest of my days?
(De Duolcos: In the rest of my days?)

Narration: So as it was, De Duolcos ignored my plea and fell in love. His curiosity eventually turned to become his enemy and he ignored my request. He had traveled the land for many years with his men, but grew tired of the known and yearned to seek out the rest. Though enlisting greedy men had proven well to bring him wealth, he found himself in need of new company and set out for new scenery. Onecca was naive to the frailty of man. She had been isolated. Sheltered and shaded. But now she was vulnerable, and love hit her just as hard. De Duolcos, his compassion, and their love set to spark, were all ample reasons she could not discard.

iv:
"No One More Deserving Of..."

De Duolcos: O-O-Onecca,
I...I, uh,
I cannot stress how pleased
I am to meet...
Well,
Since I saw your face,
I knew the rest of my days
Would wrap around that scene
Lest it be incomplete
What I’m trying to catch
With this,
This verbal mess
Is:

Without any thought,
I know why you've been hidden.
For a beauty such as yours
Would turn any man smitten.

It's bittersweet that you've been protected,
Sheltered and shaded,
It's bound to have left you jaded.
I hope to not sound cliché or contrived
But on the upside, you've helped me revive
A love now vehemently grows inside
Without you I damn would have
Wandered vast and wide
Pillaging sites, of the archaeological type
Attempting to find sight for the blind
But I've found it, it's you
It's never been so right
So forgive my haste, Onecca
But may I stay
With you tonight?
'Cause,
I'm not concerned whether I find a home,
What's on my mind is from heel to toe
My heads above them both
They're in a spin with no control
With a season as rich as this
There's not much else love can do
But grow.

Onneca: De Duolcos, you’re an open book
All it took was one look
You’ve caught me off guard
Like fish to a baited hook
And now that you’ve caught me
I’ve lost all sense of worry
For years I’ve been waiting
Left so alone to grow nothing but old
But now look at me, I’m giddy
I’m blushing, I’m shaking
My stomach’s in knots
I’m without a doubt falling in love.
I’ve been waiting for you,
All this time,
Now that it’s arrived
It feels like sight for the blind
I forgive your haste,
Please stay with me tonight.

De Duolcos: Onecca,
Your elegance is unsurpassed
You deserve the jewels to match
The finest in the land,
I'll bring them all back.

Narration: With every season came new wealth. De Duolcos and his crew plundered lost cities and forgotten treasure. With The Map of the Everything at his side, he could bring her all that she deserved. Gold in the fall, platinum and diamonds in the winter, ruby blossoms in the spring, and to mark their anniversary, with summer he brought her a ring. But things had grown tense through constant expedition, De Duolcos' second in command and longtime friend, Vitrio, wanted more and more treasure. It was never enough... he wanted it at all cost!

Tok: Stick to you're nectar, Tick,

Should be your. Apart from that this was very good (again).

All Fixed.

Thank you, sir.

And as always, thanks for taking the time.
