Im new to the guitar game. Ive been playing for like 6 months and want to buy some effects pedals....any suggestions on what to get and also is it a good idea to buy a multi effects processor (since ill never be in a band) or the single pedals??? Thanks for the help..

i guess if you want a bunch of effects with less modifications to each effect, go for the multi, but if you want to be able to tweak an effect (like a flanger or delay for example) and such go for the singles.

I would just start off with a simple distortion peddle. Or a cheap multi effects peddle, i have one that works really well.

yeah i say start off with a single effect..say a distortion or a delay, something along those lines

and if you're gonna get a mutli-fx processor DO NOT get a digitech rp80..piece of shit

To start get a distortion (obviously). Get a phaser too, commonly used. I don't know about multi-effects pedals because I've never used one.

the line-6 pod is pretty good for multi-effect stuff.. not too expensive either.

get a multi effects one to start, the zoom 505II is around 60 bucks and has an assload of effects. id also get a wah pedal but thats just me.

Yeah agreed, line 6 pod... sooo sweet... and pretty cheap.. Korg have some good stuff out too.. Ax100G are damn good pedals
