Paramore (http://www.purevolume.com/paramore) have just been confirmed to perform on this yearšs Vans Warped Tour. The 14 dates will kick off July 20 in Indianapolis and run through August 10 in Washington DC.

Led by powerhouse vocalist Hayley Williams, Paramore is a new, young band with a unique and refreshing sound. In the past year the Franklin, TN five piece have toured with Anberlin & Copeland and made appearances on the Taste of Chaos tour, winning over crowds and impressing their peers. Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz said "one of the biggest problems in the scene is that girls often end up just being coatracks while the guys play on stage. This band is one of the best examples of exactly the opposite - the boy's club is over- Paramore is your memo on that" and Aaron Marsh from Copeland declares "Paramore has a youthful passion that I admire and talent that will surely turn some heads. I'm VERY excited about this band."

Paramorešs James Paul Wisner (Dashboard, Underoath, Further Seems Forever) and Mike Green (Yellowcard, The Matches) produced debut album All We Know Is Falling comes out on Fueled By Ramen July 26th.

I love how all the Canadian dates are missing in that. Like comon, you go as far as Buffalo and don't cross the boarder? haha damn this sucks.

haha you guys don't get TREOS either! they play buffalo and then all the dates after canada. if you think about it though, some bands just might not have passports.

anyway i'm bummed cause my dates on warped will be done before by july 20 and i have a feeling i won't be in the mood to road trip for more warped dates than just the one in nyc (getting to randall's island is practically a road trip in itself), if i'm even in town for that one. sucks, i would've loved to have seen paramore again.

I am very excited about this... I was hoping they would be on for the east coast dates.

5 piece? i thought it was a 4 piece.
they added a bassist when they recorded their album. He plays with them live and everything, but I'm not sure if he's officially "in the band."

just listened to pressure on pv. im impressed. hard to pull of a female vocalist, at least in the style they do. the only other really really good band i can think of right away with a good female voice is veda. but you couldnt compare the two.

Why? Many female guitarists and/or vocalists are far, far more capable than men. Take The Donnas, for instance. Many people dislike their music, but you can't deny that the guitarist in that band has amazing talent and musically could kick the shit out of those pussies in Hawthorne Heights.
