Turns out I have to write a paper on a British film. There wasn't a thread, so here it is.

All of the aforementioned 4 movies are awesome. I'd also like to take a step back in time and offer:
The Third Man, directed by Carol Reed. A lot of people say that it looks and sounds familiar to other movies, because a lot of movies inadvertently ripped this film off. But In my opinion, this movie did it better, and did it first. The scene with Cotton and Welles on the ride is maybe one of the best ever.
This Is England is a fantastic film.

I never saw this movie, but I always meant to. I know they have it on Instant Viewing on Netflix. Maybe I'll check it out tomorrow.

As much as I enjoyed it, SOTD is pretty over-rated Though Im going to go out on a limb and assume that unless you have first hand experience with these sorts of villages, much of if will be lost on you.

Well I preferred it over Shaun (not Sean!), much funnier in my opinion.

The scene with the Swan alone is funnier than most of Shaun of The Dead.

Children of Men is one of the greatest movies ever. I love Michael Caine's character's house setup.

I swear Children of Men technically isn't a british film. Then again, neither's Love, Actually. So is this thread just for films we enjoy that have a predominantly british cast?

Nasty way to go
