i'm going to be ordering a washburn xb120 sometime this weekend. my friend told me to get a behringer bx1200 amp, but i don't think i need a 120 watt amp. i (kind of) decided on the behringer bx600 amp, which is 60 watts. my question is, do you think that's too many watts for someone who's just starting out and has no plans of being in a band (for now)? should i get the 30 watt or stick with the 60 watt?
thanks for the help.

oh, if you don't know, i'm getting a bass.

one more thing-what kind of tuner do you recommend? i don't want a really expensive or really cheap one, something like $25 or so.

Stick to a small amp for practice if you have no intention of joining a band. Korg makes small, and effective tuners.

awesome. thanks. although, if for some reason, someone asks me to be in a band, should i go with the 60 watt amp?

At that point, you could sell the small amp, and use extra money gained over time to get the 60 watt. Yessir.
