View Full Version : Favorite Holiday (non traditional) Song?
As I chill out here at work it crossed my mind that it'd be cool to discover some new Christmas/holiday tunes from other AP.net folks. My personal favorite is definitely Here Lies Our Holiday by Day At The Fair, followed by Yule Shoot Your Eye Out by Fall Out Boy.
The Maine's Santa You Bitch (or whatever its name is) has also been getting a few plays this year.
Any other must listen to's?

I don't have any music that is neccessarily about Christmas, but there is a lot of music that I tend to listen to around winter/christmas time.

That is 100% unhelpful.

Word!
I have very fond memories of Christmas Eve in the 80's watching MTV. They would play all these current Christmas songs and all the VJ's would talk about their Christmas traditions and favorite songs and whatnot. My favorites were the Run DMC song, "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Band AID, and the duet with Bing Crosby and David Bowie. There were plenty more, but those were the ones I loved as a kid, and I would stay up all night watching them. They even had Christmas commercials. Ahh, back when MTV was worth a shit.

Just hearing the word "Christmas" in a song really tends to put me off of it, but I still enjoy The Lights and Buzz (Jack's Mannequin), and Forget December (Something Corporate).
