mine would be The Edge. i love his old stuff because, even its not the hardest shit to play, its so fast-paced

thrice, but im no where near as good as them musically.
green day, no use for a name etc are my roots though....
when i write music, it either turns out like a melodic skate punk song a la millencolin or something heavy ish, like Silhouette by thrice.
Vocal wise im like Tony Sly in NUFAN

Shit, I don't know...
I've been told I show signs of Matt Skiba or Jesse Lacey, but if I were to name anybody that I think I'm most influenced by it'd be Chris Connolly.
Oh yeah, all of this is in terms of the whole package: guitars, vocals, song-writing.

I think he means "influenced by" not "sounds like". I could be wrong...
Yes I do mean that. I'm not the best singer in the world, but I consider myself a decent singer.
Well the first bands which made me want to pick up a guitar were blink, green day and the offspring about 7 years ago (although I did have about a year or so gap when I moved countries)..but I think by learning mostly simple songs by those bands in my earlier years made me just want to write my own music after I saw how simple it was. I wouldnt say now I have any single influence, I'm just really creative with some things I write and chords I seem to make up.. so I cant be bothered to learn other musicians stuff so much. I would just say certain bands influence my musical style depending on what I feel like writting. Atm its thursday, alkaline trio, down to earth approach among others...

My bad.
When I posted my singing influences I meant for both, sounds like and influenced by. Well, if you sing other people's songs long enough you'll begin to sound somewhat like them anyways.

Tool, big time. I can't write one song without someone saying I'm very Tool-esque. Also In Flames, Dream Theater, Yes and Joe Satriani.
I've always thought I'd retained Rufio influence, but no one hears it, so...Yay...
You know what they say, the key to originality is hiding your sources....

My guitarist is Tom Delongue, Tom is actually really good. But like, his influence on my guitarist leads to powerchords... just all powerchords... just .. nothign except powerchords. I wish my guitarist was in love with jimi hendrix or something.
