it's not that i don't like this band, it's just that i think bigwig does what they do better, but never gets the credit/attention they deserve. listen to how much "an invitation to tragedy" rules. i hope that the next bigwig album (who knows when that will be?) gets as much hype as these guys do.

Tate and Weber you guys already got this album, can you give me a lil review compared to mute print?

Just as vulgar, if not more. Faster. Just as hard. It's very similar to mute print, except it seems more...focused. I've only listened to it once, but those are my first impressions. Same kick ass riffs and same aggresive vocals.

the theme of the album is basically "fuck it"
"It takes a man to cry, but i just put a brick through every bird's nest."

really? kewl! i remember them when they were smackin isaiah, too. i wouldn't have ever called them "local rock poppunkcore" though. :headshake although they weren't always as technical as they are now, they always had their own style.

Bigwig doesn't do anything .. we can't talk about a band that is basically non-existant. I recommend Near Miss however, they seem to be ready to release another album.
Big Wig's good.. but that CD is so over played now.
Tate and Weber you guys already got this album, can you give me a lil review compared to mute print?
I really love it ... catchy in all it's gang-vocalisc glory. Made me put Mute Print back on my iPod and start listneing to it again ..
It's been a good week of new music .. I keep playing shit loooud and can't wait to have the albums lineing my bookshelf.

i saw them last week with the larry arms, best show they've put on in the 6 times i've seen them, the new bassist does have his own style, but it doesn't detract at all... they play 'me vs. morrissey...' and another new song that slayed. i'm really looking forward to this. they're really cool guys too, well, at least the lead guitarist, he was sick and looked miserable but still took the time to talk to me and a few of my friends outside before the show. btw, people saying the love the new album, have you heard the whole thing? and if so can you PLEEEEEEASE send it to me? i'll give my AIM name if anyone responds... thanks

i've been listening to this new record for about a week now and it is without a doubt going to be the best record released this year (especially if nitro gets off their ass and promotes the fucking thing). nobody can touch it. think of the guitar riffs and song structures of "mute print", but on a whole different level. not only that, the band definitely does some things to throw you off, changing up things a little, but not ruining the flow of the record and the overall feel of the songs.
one of the things i like about this record the most is you really hear for the first time even on an aws record the amount of talent jon teves has on bass. not to say he didn't sound good before, but there are some songs that he really shines on and i love it.
from talking to trevor about the artwork i have a feeling that it'll be even better than "mute print."
these guys OWN.

Wow. I was reading their studio journal while they were recording and all the talk about crazy guitarwork and what-not...It made me a bit hesitant. Not that they didn't have crazy guitarwork before, but whenever a band releases an amazing album (like "Mute Print") I'm always afraid that they won't be able to follow it up. So hearing somebody say that it shreds...Thank you very much for that bit of information. You made my day. Haha.
A Wilhelm Scream will blow everyone's ass out. :animateds

I think the release date was supposed to be August 16th, last time I talked to the band. And personally, I think you guys should hype the shit out of this one...;)
Just tell me this much is "The Kids Can Eat A Bag Of Dick" as catchy recorded as it is live? I saw them play it a few times on this past tour and I kept getting a line that is something to the effect of, "And that will do?" stuck in my head each night...Am I crazy or is that one going to be a standout track?
