Facing New York owns. Kinda bums me out how this album is more chill at times, I dig it when they're a bit harder. Still it's awesome.

I've only had the chance to hear Claim/Subclaim, but I love that track. I'll be looking forward to this.

this is pretty much the best band out there right now. well...not really probably but yeah. havent heard a bad song from them yet, but i do agree that the slower songs just dont compare to the power of the faster...and you are all homos

I heard that it leaked already. It's really sad that a bunch of great, hard-working dedicated guys have this happen to them. I still can't believe that when they heard we drove 3 hours to see them at Warped Tour and they weren't allowed to play that day, they begged the stage promotor so we could see them live. I, of course, won't be downloading this early, but I really wish it was August 30th already.

To anybody that has heard these slow songs, are the slow like You Might Not Feel It At All, or even slower?

So Tip of the Iceberg slow?

Coaster, yea its closer to Tip of the Iceberg. Gets a little bit quicker but not much. I agree and totally disagree with a lot of the comments made so far. My first listen through I was a little disappointed but after listening to it again, i'm kicking myself for saying that. It doesn't even feel like they are songs to me, its is just one whole totally unique sound and although it doesn't have as much kick as the ep, it is such an amazing piece of work. I'm not trying to insult anyone's opinion so please don't take it like that but I suggest if you did give in and get it, listen to it with new ears and forget the ep for a second.

p.s. I am really sorry to the band that it leaked and I usually say this fleetingly, but I promise that I will buy at least 2 of this album and maybe more cause this is an amazing piece of work.

This album is a great replacement to Locale AM, though I miss that sound. I like this album.

yeah i might make it out there, hopefully
should be a good show. they owned at the gatsbys release show when i was up in seattle, they had to drive 15 hours to make it back to SF so that there bass player could get to work, such a sick band

Facing New York with a pit. I would love to see the day when that was true in Cleveland or Columbus. Oh, please come back to Ohio.

Amazing CD. Will probably be my favorite of the year.

I just don't understand how anyone says that it's leaking so early will hurt the band. People need to hear this, then buy it and/or go to shows. Simple.

success in the industry is determined by album sales, not who goes to the shows. while it could be good for them, it could also be bad - 2 and a half months is long enough for some people to download it, play it out, and lose interest when it comes time to buy it. It's really different from a 3 week leak.

That's exactly the point. I wouldn't mind if it was leaked early or mid August when the record comes out but 2+ months before the release is not good. Trust me, I want this band to have all the success in the world but this is not a good thing and I hope people don't forget about this record or this band when it comes out in August.

Does Five One even have major distribution? Will I find this CD in a store? I mean, I'd be incredibly glad if I did but I certainly wasn't counting on it.

I can't say I even think of FNY as an "industry" band. Maybe that's part of why I love em, but really... If this has ruined any of Five One's plans to miraculously move a ton of units out of your local Best Buy and this halts that, then I'm dissapointed. But somehow I don't think that was the plan.

I'm amazed they went with such a small label, I'm not too knowledgable on the industry, but Swimming Not Treading must have brought in some bigger offers. It was one of the best debut EP's ever. But it seems to me that if a band wants a ton of sales, they sign to a major. If they want a loyal following and freedom to create such beautiful works of art, they stay the course.

Hopefully some of that will stand up... I need to balance both my love of FNY and the internet. Hell, I wouldn't even know FNY if it weren't for the internet...

I agree. Bands like Facing definetly need attention for doing their own thing. It really irritates me to see bands like An Angle who rip off other artist and get tons and tons of attention and people justifying their lack of originality but bands like Facing, who are in fact doing their own thing ,for the most part get next to no attention. It's why i tend to hate bands like that extra.
