i did it for 3 years in high school and i loved it. but then again it could have been because i had an awesome team, but whatever. i say go for it and decide for yourself whether to continue or not

personally, i dont like it....but thats taking no respect or credit away from the runners
i know it takes a lot of stamina and stability to run that long, as well as strengh and determination....
im just saying i would never do it beause its just not really my thing
but hey, if you like running, go for it

Let me brush aside the cobwebs from this thread. I ran cross in HS and now in college. Even though it really hurts and lots of times feels hard, the friends that you make is worth it. Besides, there is no greater feeling after you get done w/ a good race that you got your best time at or if you beat out someone you've been trying to catch the entire season. It's really worth it if you ask me.

XC was great in high school, mainly cause my team was made up of my best friends.

For sure, I found that all xc teams are really tight because of the small size and similar goal. Who else would want to run in the extreme hot/cold after a long day of school only to choke for air and get sore muscles? Yep, only us.
