A long-lost weekend
Lost on Long Island
Better days are bound to show.
A guilty conscience posts
Bitter reminders that
You've got a long way to go.
Never threw in my own
piece of mind, I minded my own.
Oh we could put living back in style,
We could take it delightfully slow.
Table-top reflections skewing points of view,
Making amends
With such a silly dying trend.
A rainy day met with smiling eyes.
Personifying lovers' lament,
Intent on wringing out emotion
With hastily wrapped up lies.
Never threw in my own
piece of mind, I minded my own.

OK so I was looking through my lyric book, wrote this like 2 years ago, totally forgot about it, but looking back on it just made me think about why I wrote it, thought maybe I'd post it to see it shred to pieces, lol. Keep in mind that when this took place, Screaming Infidelities was all over MTV :singer:
