yeah, i think alot of people end up doing it to gain friends, out of social gatherings or whatever...now the people who are already complete fuckbuckets will buy these just to be proud, or other people will buy it to try to look cool...

as if i dont see enough girls wearing livestrong bands just cuz it's an accessory, now i'll have to walk by potheads with their own bracelets.

why can't we just give our dollars to a cause, without expecting to get showered with praise cuz we wear an article stating we helped a cause

i remember, i used to help out with people who really needed money, i've helped friends who really needed cash, i've been helped, and it has never needed a bracelet before...in all honesty, i've never bought one of the bracelets, not cuz i don't care...just cuz i feel like i'll go in one of these stores, and they'll probably throw out the offer after you spent 300 dollars on insignia'd sweaters with a random number on and a useless animal...

I doubt that any of the money that these "charities" collect actually goes to the people/causes that they promote. People don't do things out of the kindness of their heart; they do it to get something out of it.

Another thing that really pisses me off, are those "Support Our Troops" magnets that everyone has on their car. If you want to support the troops you should either join the armed services or donate directly through the DOD website.
