just listened to "Counterfeit Language" by Gatsby, and then listened to "Ink by Finch....am i missing something here or is that a blatant copy?

someone tell me this is all just one big mistake, and that Finch didnt just rip Gatsby a new one?

they sound kind of similar but i wouldnt necessarily call it a rip off, they just have the same time signature at the beginning of the song.

Um, Gatsby's is fantastic. This does sound like a rip-off. Counterfeit Language is one of my favorite GAD songs.

no? damn. when i heard them, to me it sounded like an exact copy.

basically seemed like finch listened to tons of gatsby, went into the studio and unknown to them made a song that that intro of which sounded exactly the same.

now i dont mean the whole song, just the intro, which is basically identical.


PS. nice work to the gutless Finch fans who see fit to take peoples scene points and post no reply. you can take all the scene points in the world but at the end of the day Finch has still stolen music from another band.

I think I remember hearing somewhere that it's like the exact same riff, just played backwards...but i could care less, because I am a huge fan of GAD and the new Finch cd... :love:

Gatsby on the otherhand just released one of the most complete albums in a long time, so tell me, whats good?

the guy said the bootleg was the best quality yet, and has Kashmire and Final Cut.

i just find it so annoying how a band like Finch can so blatantly rip off another band and no one cares. ahh whatever.

Alright I'm kinda behind on the new Coheed cd, do they have a release date for the new album yet?

Alright I'm kinda behind on the new Coheed cd, do they have a release date for the new album yet?

as far as i know its recorded and being mixed etc, i keep hearing August or September.

artwork to be done by the comic illustrator [i believe the new artist not the first one], its the first part of 2 volumes [so their next album will be vol2 and thus making it a double album], umm, so far 4 songs have been played live.

Tell All Your Friends [favor house type of song]
Kashmire [heavy heavy song, Shabuti like, believed to be the album opener]
Anything For You [your kind of Three Evils song, some parts heavy some parts pop].
Final Cut [7 or 8 min song, 5 + mins of guitar freakery]

iksse3 is such an epic opening.

i think this is one album im not going to touch the leak of, and just wait to hold the CD in my hot little hands.


but the anticipation is killing me.
