I can't understand how anyone would even dare to say Trent Reznor and NIN is gothic in any way at all. Let alone saying it's even good. The music is overdone and the lyrics are overused and lacking in any apparent originality. Am I the only one that thinks this way?

I don't see anything wrong with the full-lengths, excluding With Teeth, because I haven't heard it yet. Trent's made some really good songs, with some crappy ones in the mix.

i love with teeth, and i'm sick of them being called industrial...feel free to insert what genre they are still life...but i really don't like sizing up reznor, i just listen and enjoy.

I enjoy their stuff.
"The Downward Spiral" is my favourite album by them.
And Trent Reznor is such a cool name.

I've always liked Pretty Hate Machine the most.

lacking originality? the guy wrote a song about someone forcing a girl to give him a blowjob at gun point.
