Thats because anyone who knows anything already knows that this will easily be the best movie of the summer.
Ebert said that it was the "Citizen Kane of superhero movies, and if you dont find that analogy fitting, than it is the closest the superhero genre has come to Citizen Kane yet."

Hmmm, lets see. While it is true that Batman does not have any superpowers in the traditional sense, he is a master detective and has the talent and athletic ability of an olympic athlete. He is also brave and a man run by obsession.
In my opinion, his obsession alone qualifies as a power since it is his driving force in life.

I dont think so. I think in that situation, batman and superman are both moral enough men that they would recognize that ultimately, they both just want to bring justice. They just have different ways of going about it.
Also, Batman is a master detective, and Im sure that he would know the moment that Superman got in town (he is Gotham City's most powerful socialite after all). Do you really think that Wayne Industries doesnt have some Kryptonite in a lab somewhere? If Lex Luther can get ahold of it, Im sure Batman / Bruce Wayne could.
Besides, Superman is a douche bag. His skin is thicker than steel. Of course he is going to be a superhero! That doesnt take any balls at all!

one on one combat superman would kill batman, superman's powers outweigh any of batman's powers or gadgets
Strength - although varying depending on his energy levels, Clark is among the strongest superheroes on Earth, capable of lifting a plane.
Flight - able to defy gravity, possibly through sheer force of will.
Invulnerability - Years of exposure to yellow solar energy have caused Clark's Kryptonian body to become almost indestructable. His natural bio-electric aura also has limited force field properties protecting items near his skin e.g. his costume. Clark can survive in outer space as long as he has a breathing apparatus, and doesn't lose too much solar energy. Using his powers of flight and super-speed Clark can travel inter-planetary distances by himself. Interstellar distances require assistance e.g. a spaceship.
Super-speed - capable of superhuman speed, Clark can fly from Metropolis to have dinner with Lois Lane in Paris, France, or in a few minutes fly to the Moon.
Super-breath - Clark's invulnerability and strength exist internally too, affecting his skeleton and internal organs. After inhaling deeply he can expel the air in a gale-force wind.
Super-hearing - Capable of blocking out and discerning a single known voice within a city.
Vision - Clark can detect electromagnetic energy in more than the normal visible spectrum: X-Ray vision, IR vision, Microscopic, and Telescopic. Additionally, Clark can release solar energy in the form of Heat Vision as a weapon.

But Batman's issues are what drives him. He is a man obsessed. He lives in a world of darkness, and he feels that by vanquishing evil from Gotham can he ever feel that he has made good on the promise that he made to himself for his parents.
The dude is CRAZY.
I admit that Storm and Wolverine are pretty cool. In fact, I think that they're up there. But Batman has such a better backstory. Plus, the fact that there could really be someone like Batman maybe someday is awesome.

All of that is true, but I dont get why people love superman so much. He isnt even human. Yeah, he has all that cool stuff, but if you were basically indestructible, youd be a superhero too. the fact that Batman fights enemies at least as badass as the enemies Superman fights, and that he can defeat them while still being a (somewhat) normal human being makes him alot cooler.

no he uses his gadgets/normal athletic ability to perform super feats...which doesn't make him super, it makes him rich. he has the drive and the means to make things happen, but he has nothing different than you or me, which makes him just a human hero.

one on one combat superman would kill batman, superman's powers outweigh any of batman's powers or gadgets
Additionally, Clark can release solar energy in the form of Heat Vision as a weapon.

supes has a big weakness and sorta becomes a little bitch once it's used on him .. haha.. and cause he's such a badass (can't be killed) he sorta walks into things a little too often .. bats uses his head before he goes into anything ..

That one was pretty good. Danny DeVito was really good as the penguin.

Batman is the coolest superhero ever. Thats all there is to it.
He's the coolest because he doesn't have any super powers. He's just a regular dood (who crazy amounts of rich enough to have people build him all kinds of neat shit) who kicks serious ass. :)

A guy from my school that looks like the penquin asked me out...................three times. :headshake

You should have said yes, and then had Penguin babys.
But the scene where he bites that dudes nose was soooo badass, and the blood gushed everywhere!
I thought the Bat Sub was kind of reaching though...
