Haha....I need something like that....all the stuff on my purevolume site ( www.purevolume.com/jesusnpals ) is recorded with a 60 second recorder. Layering it all together sucks balls.

^The Kristal Audio Engine is totally free, and wicked easy to use. It's like a lesser form of Acid, and it's freeware. Great, great deal. Multiple tracks can be layers, any length, and also is better for looping than Audacity.

Good choice, also there are a lot of others such as Audacity and Cubase (a better form of Kristal but sometimes has these popups that pop up during your recording session. But I definately would recommend it nonetheless).

If you're looking at free programmes The Kristal Audio Engine is probably your best choice. It may also be worth googling N-Trak. You might also be able to find Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 out on the net. It's a few years old but pretty good intermediate programme.
If you're going to try and do anything remotely serious with recording though look for Cubase.

If you're TOTALLY serious, get ACID.

I believe it can, I'm not that familiar with it though. If it can't you can always get a format converter of of download.com.

I used to use Krystal and whenever i tried to save as an MP3 it didnt work. So...
Here's what you do. Save it as a wave. Import it into ITunes and then convert it to an MP3.
